Jungle Love, Pahoa Party
Hello, it has been some time, but I came over to the other side of the Big I, and technology has taken the back burner. I have been living off of the land, harvesting fruits from the forest. Living simply, and enjoying all that the island has to offer. Yesterday I even started the process to roast my own coffee that I harvested. I soaked the beans, then peeled then, and then I will roast them in a 16 inch wok once they dry, however, I don't know when that will be as the rain keeps falling... it is warm rain and is good for trees that are making a recovery from the drought. We need more fruits. Overall life is grand, living off of the land, off of this island in the middle of the pacific ocean is like a dream. Eating the fruits of this earth, cracking coconuts, so many coconuts. I use a machete daily with the attitude to harvest five a day and eat two a day. The waves have been big, breaking off of the reef, there have been some amazing barrels, still waiting to slide inside one of them on this coast. I got a good dose of wave riding over in Kona, at Banyons, where I got the waves of a lifetime breaking over the reef, barreling over my head....I love you all, love the aina, the land, the earth mother, and I listen to my ancestors, to the spirits that evoke the actions that lead me to the present! ALoha
